okay for the record, yeah this is dad episode 1, i made it, i originally had my good buddy jimmydot and his crippin crew submit this to newgrounds because I didn't think it could carry itself along. it was originally gonna be this standalone thing, then i got cocky and made it a series. the rest, no one said, is history

This is like, professional. I could see this on adult swim or some shit. And it'd be well-liked. And props to Music Guy, he really completed the package. But really the animation and plot and everything just meshed so well. It felt like a perfect mix of structure and random, and it all comes together in a satisfying way or something hetero like that. Keep it up alpha-bro <3

this game.... too good

okay first and weirdest of all, I actually genuinely liked the whole 'stop and jump' thing. It just felt really natural, like your character has weight or whatever. It just felt really fun and different, and a huge part of liking any game, as world reknown scholar Michael O'Reilly says, is liking how it feels to move and navigate, and that strange 'hinderance' was just beautiful. And if there was a way to get rid of it, I'd be very shocked and not even consider it. hint hint.

Anyway the rest of the game was really great too. The constant pressure, the bizzare art, the enemy placement that could be perfectly pleasantly annoying at some points, the ending. And I really liked the pacing overall, going faster and faster and more frantic, and... reaching it's logical conclusion at the end. I'd say this is one of the best games I've played in a while, no joke. I just had so much fun with it. I can't put into words how right everything felt, so I won't awkwardly try anymore. Just... this rocks you win thank you.

great game, if a bit short

I had played the game maker version of this a while back, and I couldn't believe it when I saw it on newgrounds! I had to play it a 3rd time. Finding the new secret by total accident was pretty cool, but wow I don't remember the game being so short. Brief, yes, but not over in about 10 minutes.... Oh well.

I really don't get newgrounds, I mean yes the game is somewhat challenging, but even the first time I played it I never gave up or thought it was too hard. I think, even with all the rules in place, it's a perfectly good level of difficulty.

The soundtrack is amazing as well, perfect 8-bitty chiptunes that sound like Mega Man if it was more laid back... I just wish you'd offer the songs for free for real cheapskates like me. What can you do though, I don't blame you for trying to get some compensation for your hard work.

Anyway great game, cool little story, awesome music... great job. The only reason I'm giving it a 9 is because of the length, there's so much potential for more rules and stuff. But then again, it's probably good that it isn't too bloated. I digress and. end this awkward review right HERE

not the worst game i've ever played here, definitally not the best. the moving platforms and hit detection are terrible, but some of the little mini games and stuff are kind of neat. the graphics do their job, and theres some funny moments like the majoras mask moon randomly showing up. if you make another one, spend some more time on the coding and stuff. like other people said, the real iwbtg is challenging for its actual gameplay, not usually its glitches and stuff.

p.s what's the music for the pacman/rave area? i couldn't find it on the side bar o music...

is it christmas? it might be.
yeah a bit loud but that's an easy issue to fix, nice little ditty otherwise, nicely looped, no complaints :)

holy shit flashback

i remember this song and animation from god knows how long ago, and now it's on the front page for some reason... spooky. i love how everyone used to (does?) attack you for the message of the song 'we need police' obviously you're not taking this seriously and shooting cops. anyway cool song bros

honestly this is great

i think i let it loop two or three times before i realized 'oh its only 2 minutes long'. for the kind of thing this is it's really nice. i'm going to play this at my wedding for sure
